ABOUT THE EVENT

Stress is running high for most people at this challenging time. Working from home, social and physical distancing, worry and uncertainty about what the future will bring can create crippling stress mentally, emotionally and physically.  


As stress levels rise, we can sometimes feel helpless, stuck and gripped by emotional reactivity and despair. It is often challenging to find ways to decompress and release stress effectively.


Learning how stress starts in our mind, and the domino effect this has on our emotional and physical wellbeing, is critical to understanding how and when stress levels become unhealthy.


Tracking stress in the body and learning to read your warning signals of rising stress is a helpful way to combat rising stress levels.  Actively releasing stress will help you switch into a more balanced, calm and relaxed way of being. 

In this session, you will:

  2. Actively decompress and reduce stress and emotional reactivity

  3. Learn a practical technique to help you switch to a more soothed, balanced, calm state of being

Meet your trainer

Deborah is a graduate of our Postgraduate Diploma in Positive Organisational Psychology and Leadership (PGDPOPL) programme, and holds a Masters of Science in Applied Positive Psychology. 

 

She is a qualified meditation and mindfulness trainer and lecturer with many years of teaching and mentoring experience, offering established mindfulness workshops and tailored mindfulness programs to organizations, institutions and schools. 

 

Deborah also teaches mindful yoga to adults and youth.  She is an engaging, experienced instructor and her teaching style is clear and concise. She lives, works and celebrates in Singapore.

What is a Virtual Classroom?


Engage Virtual Classroom was created for participants to receive quality training on Psychology and Positive Psychology at the comfort of their own home.




How do I log in to the Virtual Classroom?


The link to join the class will be emailed to you 2 to 3 business days before the class date. On the day of the class, log in using this link 5 to 10 minutes before the commencement of the session. You will need to enter your name and email address that you have registered with.




What are your fees?


The cost of each virtual classroom session is S$15. If you wish to obtain a certificate upon completion of the class, simply top up S$15. For short courses and workshops, prices will vary. Please refer to the specific course page for pricing information.




What is the duration for each session of the Virtual Class?


Our sessions range in duration from 1-hour to multiple hours over a few days. Please refer to the specific course page for more information.




How early should I log in to the session?


We would recommend you to access 5 to 10 minutes before the session begins. We will begin exactly at the top of the hour, so arrive early so you don't miss any of the content.




Do I need to mute myself during the session?


No - we'll take care of that for you. As an attendee, you are automatically muted.




How may I make suggestions for future topics?

Will my attendance be counted towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours?


If you have selected the certificate option when enrolling for our 1-hour Virtual Class, you will receive a Certificate of Participation after class completion. All our short courses and workshops (longer than 1-hour duration) automatically include a certificate upon completion. Please verify with your relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) regulatory body on whether our certificates can be counted towards your CPD hours.




What will be indicated in my certificate?


Each certificate conferred by The School of Positive Psychology will indicate your preferred name, title of training, date, and duration (hours).
