POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY COACHING TRAINING BY DR. ROBERT BISWAS-DIENER
Attend the Accredited Positive Psychology Coaching Training, with the founder of Positive Psychology Coaching, Dr. Robert Biswas-Diener! Held over a period of 6 days in May and June 2020, this intensive workshop will equip you with the skills to coach those around you to thrive, and to develop your courage in leadership.
Introduction to Performance Coaching -- Saturday, April 10th
In this session, participants will learn to define coaching and recognize its professional boundaries. We will focus especially on setting sophisticated agendas, powerful listening skills, and asking provocative questions. There will be demonstrations, discussion, and opportunities for practice.
Responsible and Effective Coaching -- Sunday, April 11th
In this session, participants will learn about the ethical foundations of coaching as well as tools for understanding and harnessing emotion as it relates to motivation.
Strengths Coaching -- Saturday, April 17th
In this session, participants will learn about strengths and weaknesses as they relate to performance. We will discuss strengths labels, strengths development, and team strengths.
Creating Improved Self-Awareness -- Sunday, April 18th
In this session, participants will learn a variety of tools that coaches use to enhance awareness. We will practice using these skills and discuss the contexts in which they are the most appropriate.
Coaching for Solutions -- Saturday, April 24th
In this session, participants will learn how to orient conversations away from complaints and toward empowerment and solutions. We will discuss 14 distinct skills and have an opportunity to practice many of them.
Positive Work -- Sunday, April 25th
In this session, participants will learn about research and application related to positive work. This includes correlates of job satisfaction, job crafting, and positive leadership.
ABOUT THE TRAINER: DR. ROBERT BISWAS-DIENER
Dr. Robert Diener, Professor of Psychology and Coach, is widely known as the “Indiana Jones of Positive Psychology” because his research on happiness has taken him to such far-flung places as Greenland, India, Kenya and Israel. He is a positive psychologist, certified mental coach, researcher, managing director of Positive Acorn as well as modular leader at The School of Positive Psychology. He regularly conducts workshops and keynote lectures for multi-national corporations, and his coaching practice typically has a three-month waiting list.
